Wood flooring resembles the look of country homes, inspired by natural surroundings and full of appealing looks. And whilst the textural character and warm tones of the wood are a natural fit for country design schemes, not all wood flooring is fabricated equally. When it comes to durability, versatility, and appeal, it’s good to choose our European white oak flooring.
Why Choose White Oak instead of Red Oak
White Oak is slightly duskier and browner, while red Oak tends to have more pink tinges. Grain of white Oak is much smoother than red Oak, providing a more contemporary aesthetic.
Beyond the visuals, our white oak flooring doesn’t expand or contract as much due to variations in humidity as red Oak plugging its pores, which provides the wood with lower permeability. Combined with a robust and engineered core, this means providing durability and a block of wood ideal for kitchens and entranceway use.
SIMPLY OAK™ provides a heavy and strong European white oak wood. It’s perhaps best known for its fine, smaller growth rings and tight grain, giving the graining a more consistent flow. It also has more true shades across boards. This, combined with a more wavy grain pattern, allows better contrasts between shades in the grain pattern, giving it a unique charm.
The Perfect Palette For Finishing Techniques
European Oak absorbs stains rapidly and makes scratches camouflaged. By introducing the wood to organic substances either directly to the wood or in the atmosphere, those tannins are brought to the surface in a way that naturally darkens and draws attention to the plank and grain pattern.
Customized White Oak wood flooring
